BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - The Bernards boys basketball team tuned up for the start of the state tournament next week with a 61-55 victory over Butler Monday night.

Daniel Ball scored 27 points to pace the Mountaineers (18-4), who have a game on the road against highly regarded Bound Brook Tuesday night at 7 p.m

Austin Gill finished with 11 points for Bernards, which finished in a tie for second in the Mountain Division of the Skyland Conference. Butler and Bound Brook are both non-conference opponents.
