BERNARDSVILLE NJ - The Bernards High Boys Basketball squad started 2017 the way that it finished 2016 - with a victory.  The Mountaineers defeated Belvidere 45-32 to run its record to 6-1.   Dan Ball led the team in scoring with 13 points.  Kyle Levine netted 10 points and Scott Thomas scored 9 for the red hot Mounties.

Bernards opened the season with with wins over Warren Hills and Manville before sustaining their first loss to conference rival North Plainfield.  After the tough loss to North Plainfield, the team went on a winning streak, finishing 2016 by beating North Warren, Roselle Park and Pen Argyl of Pennsylvania.

Bernards will take its four-game winning streak on the road to South Hunterdon on Thursday night with a 7:00 PM tipoff.
