Bernardsville Republican Committee to Screen Candidates on March 22


BERNARDSVILLE NJ - The Bernardsville Republican Municipal Committee will conduct its annual screening meeting for borough council candidates on Wednesday March 22, 2017.  The meeting will take place in the Community Room in Bernards High School starting at 7:30 pm on March 22.

The committee, comprised by two elected representatives from each of the borough's voting districts, will interview potential candidates for two three-year terms on the borough council.  The terms begin on January 1, 2018 and run through the end of 2020.  Only registered Republicans residing in Bernardsville, invited guests and the press will be permitted to attend the open session of that meeting.

All registered Republicans who are eligible to run for these offices and are interested in screening should contact Bernardsville Republican Chair Skip Orza before March 19th at 5:00 PM. Those who do not make contact, will not be permitted to screen.

Franklin Township: Township Clerk Reinstated and Charges Dismissed

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Insurance fraud charges against Franklin Township Clerk Ann Marie McCarthy have been dropped, according to officials. 

"Ann Marie McCarthy has been reinstated," Township Manager Bob Vornlocker said in an email. "All charges filed by the Somerset County Prosecutor have been unconditionally administratively dismissed."
