PEAPACK NJ - The Bernards High School Cross Country program can add another championship trophy to its already-full trophy case.  Today the BHS Boys Cross-Country Team edged out the Pingry School for the Skylands Conference Small Schools Division Championship.

The Mounties finished first among the twelve schools by scoring 51 points, 8 points better than Pingry.  They were powered by three top-ten finishers.  Senior Stuart Gruters led the way with a blazing 17:05 over the rolling hills of Natirar.  He was joined in the top ten by fellow seniors Alex Kotwick (17:20) and Thomas Perone (17:21).

The order of finish for the top five teams was:
