Boys Basketball: Bernards Downs Somerville on the Road, 50-37

SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Bernards boys basketball team put together a solid offensive showing in the middle quarters on Saturday to defeat Somerville, 50-37.

Daniel Ball scored 16 points to lead the Mountaineers (16-3), who were tied with Somerville, 6-6, after a quarter before outscoring the Pioneers, 15-9, in the second quarter and 16-10 in the third quarter to take a 37-25 lead into the final frame.

Owen Loughlin finished with 10 points for Bernards, which likely enhanced its seeding position in the upcoming Somerset County Tournament with this victory.
