Boys Basketball: Bernards Wins 2 More in 2 Days to Continue Streak

MIDDLESEX, NJ - The Bernards boys basketball team extended its winning streak to seven games with victories on Thursday night and Friday afternoon.

The Mountaineers defeated Middlesex, 50-32, on Friday. Senior center Cubby Schuller scored 13 points and point guard Alex Kotwick added 12 points for Bernards (12-3), which broke the game open with a 14-2 burst in the third quarter to take a 32-14 lead.

Owen Loughlin finished with 11 points against Middlesex. Bernards opened the game with a 15-3 start.

Bernards defeated Belvidere, 48-42, Thursday night in Bernardsville. Schuller was also the leading scorer in that game with 14 points. Kotwick scored 10 for the Mountaineers, who played without season leading scorer Kyle Levine. Levine was back in the lineup on Friday.
