NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- The Bernards boys soccer team scored three goals in the first half and went on to a 5-0 victory over North Plainfield on Thursday.

Alex Woelper scored two goals for the Mountaineers (4-0), who outshot North Plainfield, 19-6, and who were never headed after taking a lead eight minutes into the contest.

Nelson Ferreira finished with one goal and one assist, Carlos Hernandez scored one goal, Hernan Goodoy-Vera distributed two assists and J.J. Zaun also had an assist.

Elliot Dietrich made six saves for Bernards, which has outscored its first four opponents by a total of 17-1.
