SOMERVILLE, NJ — Five different players scored and Bernards pulled away in the second half for a 5-0 boys soccer victory over Somerville on Saturday.

Duncan Burke, Jack Warlick, Drew Elliott, Gilberto Ferreira and Sean Hunnewell each scored a goal for the Mountaineers (7-0), who clung to a 1-0 halftime lead before breaking it open after the break.

Hernan Goodoy-Vera assisted on two of the goals, and Miguel Ortiz, JJ Zaun and Ferreira also had assists. Elliot Dietrich made six saves in posting the shutout. The Mountaineers have allowed two goals in seven games.
