BEDMINSTER NJ - Dr. Felecia Nace of Bedminster has been appointed to serve on the Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) Board of Trustees. The Board welcomed Dr. Nace at its meeting held Tuesday, August 29. Dr. Nace was appointed to the position by the Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
“We welcome Dr. Felecia Nace to the RVCC Board of Trustees. Her extensive background as a teacher and education specialist will make her a valuable addition to the Board,” said RVCC President Michael J. McDonough.
Dr. Nace is the owner of Partners 4 Educational Change, an international education consulting firm. Author of Massaging the Mindset: An Intelligent Approach to Systemic Change in Education (Rowman and Littlefield, 2015), Dr. Nace is a former language arts teacher in Montclair Public Schools and was employed as an education specialist for 13 years with the NJ Department of Education, Trenton. She also served as an adjunct professor in the English Department at Mercer County Community College.
Dr. Nace is an active member of the Bedminster Historic Preservation Committee and was appointed to the position by Bedminster Mayor Steven E. Parker. She was appointed by the Somerset County Freeholders to serve on The Somerset County Commission on the Status of Women from 2013-2015, and was Vice-Chair of the Commission from 2014-2015. Dr. Nace has volunteered her consulting services to two local organizations that serve children in the foster care system: Visions and Pathways, Bridgewater, and CASA SHaW (Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties).
Her articles have been published in such publications as Principal magazine; Principal Leadership Magazine; and ESHA Magazine, the European School Heads Association publication. She received a B.A. in Elementary Education from New Jersey City University, Jersey City, NJ; an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA; and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA.
