Field Hockey: Bernards Swarms Franklin, 6-0

SOMERSET, NJ - The Bernards field hockey team continued its fast start with a 6-0 victory over Franklin on Thursday.

The Mountaineers erupted for five goals in the opening half and outshot Franklin, 29-0.

Lily Simon and Meghen Hengerer, who had an assist as well, each scored two goals. Lilly Hengerer finished with one goal and one assist, and Bianca Pineda scored a goal. Urte Jessina contributed one assist for Bernards (2-0).

Bernards remains unscored upon, having beaten Ridge, 4-0, in its first game earlier in the week.
