MADISON, NJ - The Bernards High School football team set two school records in a 63-14 victory over Madison on Saturday.

Quarterback Teddy Gouldin passed for six touchdowns, and Lucas Ritchie gained 301 receiving yards on six catches--five for TDs--for the Mountaineers (3-0).

Madison actually scored first in the game, on a blocked punt return in the first quarter. The first of Gouldin's TD passes to Ritchie got Bernards even, and a 54-yard TD run by Joey Billotti gave Bernards a 14-7 lead.

Cookie Desiderio also scored two TDs, one on a run and one on a reception, and freshman Mike Leanza broke off a 97-yard run for another score.
