Free College Planning Seminars Announced

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Rana Slosberg, of Slosberg College Solutions LLC, will present two free college planning seminars in March 2017 at the Somerset County Business Partnership, 360 Grove Street, Bridgewater, New Jersey.

The first seminar, “Finding Colleges That Fit You,” is for high school students and their parents and will be presented on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 3:30 to 4:45 PM. It addresses what high school students should do before building their college list, what colleges are looking for in an applicant, and areas to explore on your college visit.

The second seminar, “Keys to Unlocking Financial Aid,” is for parents of high school students and will be presented on Friday, March 10, 2017 from noon to 1:30 p.m. It addresses types and sources of financial aid, how to get need-based and merit-based aid, how to estimate your Expected Family Contribution, how the Net Price Calculator can help you, and college cost considerations.

Franklin Township: Township Clerk Reinstated and Charges Dismissed

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Insurance fraud charges against Franklin Township Clerk Ann Marie McCarthy have been dropped, according to officials. 

"Ann Marie McCarthy has been reinstated," Township Manager Bob Vornlocker said in an email. "All charges filed by the Somerset County Prosecutor have been unconditionally administratively dismissed."
