Girls Lacrosse: Bernards Wins in Somerset Semifinal, 13-3, over Hillsborough

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - Paige Petty scored five goals and assisted on one, reaching 400 points for her career, to lead Bernards to a 13-3 girls lacrosse victory over Hillsborough in the semifinal round of the Somerset County Tournament on Thursday.

Bernards (13-2) held a 4-0 lead at halftime and then outscored the Raiders, 9-3, in the second half. Laurel McHale scored three goals and Hanna Christian contributed two goals and one assist for the Mountaineers.

Lily Simon, Madison Paulik and Elise Cohan each netted a goal in the victory, which send Bernards into the championship game against Bridgewater-Raritan Saturday at noon in Bridgewater. Charlotte Grimm made six saves to help turn back Hillsborough.
