Girls Soccer: Bernards Overwhelms Carteret, 7-0

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - The Bernards girls soccer team advanced easily in the first round of the Central Jersey, Group 2 state tournament with a 7-0 victory over Carteret on Monday.

Ella Bogdan scored three goals and Makenna Davis finished with two goals and three assists for Bernards (16-5-1), which scored six goals in the first half.

Laurel McHale had a goal and an assist, Chloe Warlick scored a goal and Eleanor Taylor assisted on a pair of goals for the Mountaineers, who outshot Carteret, 15-1. Ahjin Yoo also contributed an assist.

Bernards will host North Plainfield in the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday.
