SOMERSET HILLS NJ - It was a big week in NCAA lacrosse for a Bernardsville resident and former Delbarton lacrosse standout. Villanova sophomore midfielder Connor Kirst has earned a spot on the Big East Converence Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Kirst resides in Bernardsville. In high school, he earned three varsity letters in lacrosse at the Delbarton School and one at Lawrenceville Academy.
Kirst scored a career high four goals in a 13-11 loss to No. 2 Maryland on Saturday. Kirst took just nine shots and picked up one ground ball. He also won two faceoffs. His fourth goal came during a 3-0 run by Villanova with under a minute left.
This season Kirst has scored eleven goals and added seven assists in fifteen games.
Villanova will host Fairfield this Saturday as the second part of the double header inside Villanova Stadium. Due the women’s lacrosse game at 12:00 P.M. the men’s game has been pushed back to 3:30 P.M. Both games can be seen on Nova Nation All-Access.
