P-G Council to Meet in Executive Session TONIGHT


PEAPACK AND GLADSTONE NJ - The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Peapack & Gladstone will meet in executive session at the Municipal Building at 1 School Street, Peapack, NJ for the purpose of discussing personnel at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.  Formal action may be taken at this meeting.

The agenda released by acting Borough Administrator Randy Bahr yesterday did not provide any specifics beyond "discussing personnel".  The agenda did not specify what action may be taken.

New Jersey law allows a governing body to meet behind closed doors under certain circumstances.  A governing body may meet in executive session to consider disciplinary action, or it may meet in executive session to consider candidates for an open position.

The Borough made the official announcement of the meeting on Monday, August 7.  State law allows a governing body to schedule an emergency meeting on 48 hours notice.

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Insurance fraud charges against Franklin Township Clerk Ann Marie McCarthy have been dropped, according to officials.
