Any candidate who intends to seek the Republican nomination for borough council must file nominating petitions on or before April 4.  Any candidate who files a valid petition can run for the Republican nomination, regardless of whether the municipal committee or the county chairman endorse.  The primary election will be held on June 8.  The two candidates who win the primary will run in the general election against the nominee, if any, of the Democrat Party, and any independent candidates.

The two winners of the general election will serve three-year terms on the borough council beginning in January 2016.

Councilmen G.P. Caminiti and Mark Corigliano are in the third year of three year terms on the borough council, and are eligible to run for re-election.  As of this date, neither Corigliano nor Caminiti has announced a re-election bid.
