Peapack-Gladstone GOP to Interview Candidates on March 27

PEAPACK AND GLADSTONE, NJ - The Peapack-Gladstone Republican Committee will interview potential candidates for two three-year terms on the Borough Council on Monday March 27 at 7 p.m. The committee will hold interviews in the borough council chambers.

To seek the endorsement of the committee, a candidate must have lived in Peapack-Gladstone for one full year prior to the date of the interviews, and must be a registered Republican. Interested candidates must send an email to ppggopcommitee@gmail.com to advise the committee of their intent to seek the committee endorsement.

The candidates who win the committee's endorsement will appear on the ballot of the primary election ballot on June 6. The endorsed candidates will be permitted to use the Somerset County Republican Organization slogan on the ballot, and will be grouped in one column with the state and county candidates affiliated with the Somerset County Republican Organization.

The candidates who win the Republican nomination will face the nominees of the Democrat Party and any independent candidates in the Nov. 7 General Election.
