Peapack-Gladstone Police Blotter: Response to Storm Damage


Monday 2/13/17 1:33 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of a 64 year old man experiencing dizziness. After being evaluated the victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center by the PG First Aid Squad.

Monday 2/13/17 3:30 AM - Police reported that a tree fell across Mendham Rd near #47. The tree pulled power and other utility lines down into the roadway. Police placed cones out to close the roadway. The respective utility companies responded and removed the tree as well as the downed lines.

Monday 2/13/17 8:35 AM - Police responded to Tainter Street near Willow Ave for a report of a tree in the roadway. Police located the branch and stood by until the Peapack-Gladstone Department of Public Works arrived and removed the tree limb.

Monday 2/13/17 12:20 PM - Police reported that they were dispatched to Mosle Rd for a report of a tree in the roadway. Ofc. Dirk Sheasley located the large tree limb in the lane of travel. He notified the Peapack-Gladstone Department of Public Works, who responded and removed the limb.

Wednesday 2/15/17 3:23 PM - Police reported that they were called to Natirar Park for found car keys. The keys were discovered on the park trail. Ofc. Adam Caruso took possession of the keys. He then drove through the parking lot pressing the unlock button to see which car opened. When he located the vehicle, he determined who to owner was based on the vehicle registration. The vehicle owner came back to her car a few minutes later and claimed the keys.

Thursday 2/16/17 1:00 AM - Police responded to a Main Street residence for a report of someone ringing the doorbell. Det. Paul Morris checked the area, but was unable to locate anyone.

Thursday 2/16/17 4:24 AM - Police reported that they located car versus deer motor vehicle crash in Bedminster Twp. Det. Paul Morris located the crash near Berkshire on Rt. 206. There were no injuries. Det. Morris stood by until a Bedminster Twp officer arrived.

Thursday 2/16/17 8:41 AM - Police reported a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on Main Street. A vehicle was northbound on Main Street in the area of #141 when a vehicle pulled out and struck the northbound vehicle. The other vehicle left the scene without stopping. There was minor damage to the northbound vehicle, and no injuries.

Saturday 2/18/17 4:14 AM - Police were requested to come to the area of Washington Valley Rd and Mt. Vernon Rd in Bridgewater for a report of a missing child. Det. Anthony Damiano responded with Thermal Image cameras to search. The child was eventually located in another location.

Sunday 2/19/17 8:15 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department and First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone restaurant for a report of a stove fire. The fire had been extinguished just prior to police arrival. The PG FD arrived and verified that the fire was indeed out. The PG FD then ventilated the building which had been filled with smoke. There were no injuries and minimal damage done to the stove.
