CHESTER NJ - The annual Peach Festival and Country Auction will be held Sat. August 5th , 2017 on the historic grounds of Community Presbyterian Church, 220 Main St. Chester, NJ 07930.  Hours are 10 am-4 pm, free admission, handicapped accessible, and held rain or shine.  Featured are peach pies, cobblers, kuchens, homemade peach ice cream and other peach treats.  Great buys can be found at the huge White Elephant Tent, cash and carry furniture at The Attic, and gently used items at the Toys and Games Tent.  There are also bargains for sporting goods, thousands of books to pick from, electronics, and more.  Follow us on Facebook --Peach Festival Community Presbyterian Church to view interesting items up for auction including a 21 foot bass fishing boat.   908-879-5091

Franklin Township: Township Clerk Reinstated and Charges Dismissed

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Insurance fraud charges against Franklin Township Clerk Ann Marie McCarthy have been dropped, according to officials. 

"Ann Marie McCarthy has been reinstated," Township Manager Bob Vornlocker said in an email. "All charges filed by the Somerset County Prosecutor have been unconditionally administratively dismissed."
