BERNARDSVILLE NJ - Today is graduation day for the Bernards High Class of 2016. Sean Sullivan is a member of the Class of 2016. While Sean has attended his last class and run in his last meet as a member of the Bernards High Mountaineers, his track career is not over.

The hurdler will continue his education and his track career at Rowan University in Glassboro beginning with the fall semester in August.

Coaches and teammates will remember Sullivan not only as a great hurdler, but also as a leader and loyal teammate.  This morning, the Mountaineer Twitter feed tweeted the team's graduation salute to Sullivan:

Sean S. Hurdler. One of the best hurdlers in BHS history. 56 sec. 400H. Tremendous work ethic and passion for sport. Will run at Rowan.

Sullivan's exploits on the track, both indoor and out, are too many to fit into a tween.  He routinely finished on the podium in the biggest meets against the best runners in the state.

He was at his best in the Somerset County championships his junior and senior yearss.  He finished first in the Somerset County Relays in 2015 and 2016 in the 400 meter hurdles.  He led his hurdle relay team to back-to-back Somerset County Championships in 2015 and 2016.

Sean has set down some big footprints on the Olcott Field track.  Teammates Amar Bindra and Luke Maise will try to fill those footprints and carry on the championship tradition in 2016-17.
