SOMERSET HILLS NJ - Senator Anthony Bucco, who represents Bernardsville in the New Jersey State Senate, was among a group of Republican lawmakers to receive the Award For Conservative Achievement from The American Conservative Union Foundation.

“It’s an honor to receive this award,” Senator Bucco said. “I have been working for years to help strengthen families and to make New Jersey more affordable for its residents. We still have a lot of work to do, but I will continue to advocate for the constitutional values that the ACU Foundation and this award stand for.”

The ACU Foundation researches voting records and compiles a rating list for every state legislature in the country.

According to the ACU Foundation, the members with the highest score have displayed a consistent voting record that’s aligned with the ideals of the United States Constitution, including limited and transparent government, individual rights and personal responsibility. Senator Bucco scored an 82-percent on their rating system, nearly 50 points higher than the statewide average of just 33-percent.

“I’ll keep fighting against high taxes, overbearing regulations and unchecked spending because I know the kind of burden those things place on the state’s taxpayers,” Senator Bucco said. “If we can stand by our commitment to uphold American values, I think we make New Jersey a better place to live and raise a family.”
