BERNARDSVILLE NJ - The Somerset County Democrats will hold their annual “Comedy and Cocktails” Fundraiser event on February 22nd at the Imperia in Somerset. The event is from 6-9 pm, and will feature our annual “Funniest Politician” contest, as well as our main act of the night, comedian Michael Morse.

“After a year in which Democrats carried this county for President, it is very important that we get back to work and start the year strong,” chairwoman Peg Schaffer said. “This is one of our most fun events of the year, and we anticipate a strong showing,” the chairwoman said. “This event generally draws a crowd from around the state, because we all enjoy a good laugh,” Schaffer said.

This year’s headline act, Michael Morse, has been making people laugh for years. Mike has been a writer for the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Howard Stern, and Comedy Central. Mike has performed at clubs and theaters across North America, including venues in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Toronto and Montreal. Whether performing at the Borgata Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas’ Rio Hotel and Casino, or NYC’s Caroline’s Comedy Club, his unique style makes him a headlining favorite wherever he performs.

The event is February 22nd, from 6-9 pm at the Imperia, and general admission tickets are $150. To RSVP, email, or call 908-953-9300, ext. 33.
