SOMERVILLE NJ - Somerset County will replace the Branch Road bridge in Peapack-Gladstone later this year, according to an announcement from the Somerset County Engineering Department.  Branch Road located just north of Willow Avenue will be fully closed to through traffic starting on or about June 27, 2017.  The county estimates that construction will last for approximately three months.

The existing bridge is in "poor" condition due to the rusting of corrugated metal pipes and loose and fallen stones.  The purpose of the project is to replace the existing bridge and provide two eleven feet wide lanes with a two-feet wide shoulder on each side.  There are no shoulders on the existing bridge.

The detour will run east and west on Willow Avenue, north and south on Mendham Road and East and West on Mosle Road.
