BRIDGEWATER, NJ- The Somerset Patriots and Team Campbell Foundation are teaming up for Go Gold! Childhood Cancer Awareness Night on the last Patriots home game Saturday, September 12 at TD Bank Ballpark. The Somerset Patriots take on the Lancaster Barnstormers with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. There will be fireworks, a silent auction and games for kids on the field.
The Patriots will be wearing gold jerseys during the game, as gold is universally recognized as the color associated with childhood cancer. The game-worn jerseys will then be auctioned off, with proceeds from both the auction and a 50/50 raffle during the game benefitting the Team Campbell Foundation.
Join members of the Team Campbell Foundation as they educate Patriots fans about childhood cancer through sharing cancer facts, videos and personal stories.
The Team Campbell Foundation was formed in late 2014 in memory of Campbell Hoyt, who courageously battled Anaplastic Ependymoma, a rare cancer of the brain and spine, for 5 years before passing away in August of 2014 at the age of 8. The mission of the foundation is to improve the lives of families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis through raising awareness, funding research and providing psycho-social enrichment opportunities.
