SOMERVILLE, NJ - Habitat for Humanity is offering community service hours and store credit at the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity ReStore for volunteers who are needed to help pick up donated furniture and household items in Somerset and Hunterdon counties.
The local Habitat for Humanity affiliate based in Somerville is seeking strong, caring volunteers 18 years of age and older to assist with pick-ups starting immediately on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and soon expanding to Mondays through Saturdays.
Pick-ups are done with the Raritan Valley Habitat for Humanity truck.
The Habitat ReStore, which is opening in the fall, will sell donated household items and building supplies to the public at low prices. Proceeds will help to build more affordable homes and hope for low- and moderate-income wage earners in the community.
The ReStore is located in the Marketplace at Manville next to Walmart on North Main Street. For more information or to volunteer, e-mail Rebecca at email@example.com or call 908-704-0016, ext. 18.
