Woman's Club of Tewksbury Township Hosts Shaun Van Doren, THS President

TEWKSBURY NJ - Shaun Van Doren, President of the Tewksbury Historical Society, will be the guest speaker at the March 7 meeting of the Woman's Club of Tewksbury Township to be held at the Oldwick Manor, 163 Oldwick Rd., Oldwick. Refreshments are served at 9 a.m., followed by the program and meeting.

Van Doren's slide presentation, entitled "Tewksbury Place Names", will explore such town names as "Apgar's Corner", Pigturd Alley," "Donkeytown", "Cokesburg" "Porter's Mills" and other interesting places.  Come see which ones still exist, which ones are known by another name, which ones are lost forever and other fascinating anecdotes about town. Always an enthralling speaker, Van Doren will be sure to engage the audience.

WCTT is open to any woman 18 years of age or older living in Tewksbury or the surrounding area.
