Post Office Renamed in Honor of Local Marine Hero John Basilone

RARITAN, NJ – USMC Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone, a local hero and true American hero, will be honored by the US Postal Service with the naming of the Raritan Post Office in his honor, 73 years after he gave his life on the beaches of Iwo Jima in the closing days of WWII.
