BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Curbside service--“contactless circulation"--will begin at the Bernardsville Public Library on Monday, June 22.

The book drop opened on Monday, June 15 for returns. See the schedule for dropping off books (by your last name initial) at www.bernardsvillelibrary.org. The book drop should not be used on weekends, as the library staff still isn’t back full-time. No fines will accrue until after July 12.

Starting on June 22, you can order library materials by placing a hold through the online catalog, calling the library at (908) 766-0118 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or emailing the library at librarian@bernardsvillelibrary.org. (If you get our answering machine, leave a message or call back.) The library will need at least 24 hours to fill your order and will let you know when you can pick up your materials.

Pick-up times will be Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Wednesday evenings, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Drive up to the side entrance of the Community Room on the Anderson Hill driveway. (You'll see traffic cones indicating where you should stop.) You'll call when you arrive, have your library card or driver's license available, and a masked and gloved library staff member will come out and place your items in your trunk or cargo hold, which you must then close.

When the library is allowed to open to patrons, be prepared for major changes in operations: masks for patrons and staff members, social distancing and other restrictions.
