BASKING RIDGE, NJ – Fellowship Senior Living announces the opening of the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center (CAC) as part of the exciting expansion taking place at Fellowship Village.
Fellowship Village is a destination community and residents throughout New Jersey can now enjoy a variety of entertainment at the CAC. The Fellowship Cultural Arts Center features a state-of-the-art theater, including a fly space, high quality sound and lighting package, comfortable seating, concessions and onsite parking.
Open to the public, programming features theater, opera, symphony, ballet, film, educational programs and lectures. With performances by the New Jersey Festival Orchestra, Centenary Stage Company, and with Trilogy Repertory Company-in-Residence, local residents are now offered more choices than ever for cultural pursuits.
The CAC’s 239 seat multipurpose theater benefits from the design work of theater, lighting and sound professionals who were brought in to create the state-of-the-art space. The theater was designed to accommodate a variety of configurations to include an orchestra pit, cabaret, theater in-the-round, or expanding the stage from 18’ up to 30’.
A large multipurpose room for residents’ activities on the lower level will double as a substantial rehearsal space. The lower level will also house full men’s and women’s dressing rooms along with ample storage space. A well-appointed green room near the stage will be available for a private reception prior to each performance for donors and during the performance for visiting artists.
Tickets are now available for Lerner and Loewe’s Brigadoon, presented by Trilogy Repertory Company, July 26 – 28 by visiting www.fellowshipculturalartscenter.org or calling 908-580-3892. Directed by Jaye Barre, Brigadoon is the enchanting and beloved Broadway and West End musical that inspired the classic MGM film, and numerous productions all over the world.
Fellowship Village residents have looked forward to the CAC opening which will now accommodate many of the Village Players and Village Chorus performances, ongoing activities, entertainment, lectures and meetings. Movie nights will now boast a 20 by 13 foot movie screen with surround sound, providing a true cinematic experience.
