BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The NJ Chapter of Room to Read and Postal Annex are hosting the launch of the Book Nook at Postal Annex in the Dewy Meadow Village Mall, 403 King George Road, Suite 105 (next to O'Bagel), in Basking Ridge on Friday, November 8th from 10am-4pm.

Children can color a patriotic page, write a postcard to a veteran, deployed troop or first responder and choose a gently used book to add to their personal library at home. Veterans Day is Monday, November 11th. World War I formally ended on the 11th month on the 11th day on the 11th hour.

Room to Read is a global nonprofit focused on literacy and gender equality in education. Room to Read has helped educate 18 million children in 37,000 communities in Asia and Africa. The local NJ Chapter fosters fundraising and awareness for global literacy.

The Recipes Worth Reading community cookbook created by the NJ Chapter is available at Postal Annex for a $25 donation to Room to Read. The cookbook contains over 150 recipes submitted by local moms, chefs and restaurants in Central NJ.
