BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- The Borough Council last week introduced a bond ordinance that would appropriate $1 million and authorize the issuance of $952,000 in bonds for several improvement projects in the community.

Streets due for attention include Chestnut Avenue, Ravine Lake Road, Rippling Brook Way, Pheasant Hill Drive and Laurelwood Drive. The ordinance would also address upgrades needed to the storm water drainage system on these roads.

Another bond ordinance was introduced to appropriate $961,000 and authorize the issuance of $915,000 bonds for improvements to Crestview Drive, Pickle Brook Road and Carriage House Road.

Also introduced was a bond ordinance appropriating $200,000 and authorizing the issuance of $190,000 bonds for upgrades to Whitenack Road, including milling, curb and sidewalk reconstruction, retaining walls, engineering, surveys, equipment, work and materials.

A public hearing on all three bond ordinances will take place at the next regular Borough Council meeting on Monday, March 9.
