BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — On the recommendation of Police Chief Kevin Valentine, the Bernardsville Borough Council last week introduced an ordinance that would ban parking on part of Prospect Street.
The new law would prohibit vehicles from being parked on the north side of Prospect Street between Mt. Airy Road and Condit Place.
Another ordinance introduced at the Sept. 28 Borough Council meeting calls for appropriating $60,000 more from the borough’s Open Space Trust Fund as a supplement to the previous total of $50,000 to construct a walking path at the Polo Grounds off Seney Drive.
Up to 20 percent of the funds may be used for the development of lands acquired for recreation or conservation.
