PEAPACK-GLADSTONE, NJ -- The Borough Council recently adopted an ordinance increasing the amount of funding that will be dedicated to improvements to Liberty Park.

The borough will appropriate a total of $218,829.05 from the Capital Improvement Fund, an increase of $150,000 from the initial outlay of $68,829.05. The ordinance, which was introduced in May, was adopted at the June 25 meeting of the Borough Council.

Liberty Park was established close to 100 years ago to honor those who fought in World War I.
