BEDMINSTER, NJ — President Donald Trump will be back in Bedminster this weekend at Trump National Golf Club for the first time in 10 months.
After a roundtable discussion at Gateway Church in Dallas Thursday afternoon, the President will be landing at Newark International Airport Thursday evening and is scheduled to arrive in Bedminster shortly before midnight.
After spending much of April and May at the White House while much of the nation was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump has been traveling out of Washington, D.C. much more frequently in the first half of June. He is expected to spend the weekend in Bedminster, according to published reports.
The President had initially planned to be in Bedminster last weekend. As nationwide protests in the wake of the recent death of George Floyd in Minneapolis mounted, Trump postponed his trip to Somerset County until this weekend.
One of the demonstrations last weekend attracted more than 300 protesters in Bernardsville, just a few miles from Trump National Golf Club.
