BEDMINSTER, NJ -- Thr Bedminster Township Environmental Commission sponsored another successful Moth Night at River Road Park on Friday, June 28.
Blaine Rothauser, an expert on moths, shared with those in attendance his knowledge about New Jersey’s moths. The state contains more than 2,000 species of moth.
Rothauser gave a presentation on moths, and then unveiled a nighttime display of different color moths that highlighted the warm summer evening.
A senior Natural Resource specialist with 28 years of experience with wetland and aquatic resource assessment, ecological restoration, mitigation design and permitting, Rothauser has logged extensive field time in natural land-use investigation, Mid-Atlantic threatened and endangered species analysis, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Rothauser also has worked on projects involving land use and associated permitting processes at the local, state and federal levels, including airport, recreation, linear development, natural resource management, and commercial properties.
