BASKING RIDGE, NJ – It’s all hands on deck when it comes to supplying the health care industry with the necessary Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) needed for health care workers throughout the nation and Fellowship Senior Living is on it. The premier senior living provider is putting out a call to action to the community.

The use of a cotton mask over a surgical mask prolongs the life of the masks which are in very short supply. “So we are clear, we are using the cotton masks over surgical masks or n95 masks so that we may prolong the life of our masks by laundering the cotton mask.  We continue to follow the CDC, DOH and CMS guidelines for proper use of PPE and we remain vigilant with staying abreast of this very fluid and dynamic situation,” stated Brian Lawrence, President & CEO, Fellowship Senior Living.

Fellowship is fortunate to have individual volunteers including Hospice team member, Stella Benedict, resident Anna Morris, Ruth Kern of New Providence, Darcy Carn of Millington and the Basking Ridge based Knit Crochet with Love group sewing masks, but many more are needed. Please email Lisa Fielding at lfielding@fellowshipsl.org if you can help.

Fellowship is also looking to identify 3D Printers who can print face shields and join the growing number of 3D printers who are using their expertise to stop the spread.
