BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- Pill Hill Road will be undergoing paving through the end of this week, according to the Bernardsville Police Department.
Weather permitting, the contractor will return to Pill Hill Road on Thursday, July 18 and Friday, July 19 to pave the roadway. Paving work will again begin near #55 Pill Hill Road at 7 a.m. and proceed to Meeker Road. The contractor is expected pave to near the Compost Facility driveway on Thursday, July 18 and will return on Friday, July, 18 at 7 a.m. to complete the paving to Meeker Road.
The police department advises that vehicles will need to stay off of the newly paved sections until the crews have had adequate time to roll the fresh asphalt. Residents must avoid travel on the roadway during paving operations. There will be times, as well, when paving operations and cooling may restrict driveway access to residences.
Residents can park overnight on Liberty Road to ensure access to vehicles in the morning and during the construction. Please follow directions from traffic control directors until the completion of the work. You should be able to drive on the newly paved roadway by around 5 or 6 p.m. each day.
Rain, which is in the forecast for Thursday, may impact the paving schedule.
The repaving of Anderson Hill Road was completed Wednesday afternoon, the police department reported.
