ANNANDALE, NJ -- The Bernards girls fencing team won the state sabre title for the third consecutive year Sunday at the 2020 NJIFA Women’s State Squads Tournament at North Hunterdon High School.

Alex Weinberg, Charlie Depew and Bridget Lim led the Bernards sabre team to 50 victories in the event to edge out second-place Montclair.

The Bernards boys fencing team finished third in the foil at the 2020 NJIFA State Squads Tournament.

The Mountaineers posted a team score of 44, which was just four off of Ridge's winning team score of 48 victories. Bernards' efforts were led by Ryan Ho, Matt DeMarco and Kieran Choi-Slattery.
