BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Three members of the Bernards High School girls' and boys' track teams came away with individual gold medals at the Somerset County Championships at Lehigh University on Friday.

Senior Caroline McDowell won the 1,600-meter race with a time of 5:47.99. Senior Skylar Myrtetus was first in the girls' high jump with a jump of 4-08. In the boys' high jump, sophomore Nicolo Caminiti won the gold with a jump of 5-00.

Also medaling for the Mountaineers Friday were Olivia Maddox, third in the girls' triple jump with 30-01.5; Will Perling, second in the boys' 55-hurdles with a time of 8.84, and third in the boys' long jump with a 19-00.

The Bernards boys' sprint medley relay team came in first with a time of 3:43.92, and the Bernards boys' relay team was third in both the 4x200 meter relays and the 4x400 meter relays.
