BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- The Bernards boys soccer team has been awarded the fourth seed for the upcoming Somerset County Tournament.
The Mountaineers receive a double-bye into the quarterfinal round of the tournament, so they will not play a tournament game until Oct. 19. Their opponent will either be fifth-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan, 12th seeded North Plainfield or 13th-seeded Manville.
Bernards (8-1) has played only three other Somerset County opponents through its first nine games of the season.
Gill-St. Bernard's was awarded the top seed, followed by (2) Hillsborough and (3) Pingry. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Torpey Complex.
