BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- Bernards opened an eight-point lead after one quarter and went on to a 58-46 boys basketball victory over Brearley on Saturday.

Senior forward Eddie Gambelli scored 23 points for the Mountaineers (8-6), who led, 32-20, at halftime. After Brearley (7-6) moved back to within eight after three quarters, Bernards closed out the game by outscoring the Bears, 15-11.

Andrew Infusino dropped in 13 points and Andrew Holmes deposited 11 points for  Bernards, which has won three games in a row and four of its last five.
