BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- The Bernards boys basketball team came through with a 41-34 victory over Cedar Grove in overtime Monday afternoon.

After Chris Cody sank a 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter to give the Mountaineers (1-1) a 33-30 lead. Cedar Grove tied it with a 3-pointer of its own to force overtime.

Andrew Holmes scored the first four points of overtime on a layup and two foul shots to give Bernards a 37-33 lead. Holmes finished with a team-high 16 points and Eddie Gambelli chipped in with eight points in the victory.
