BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- The Bernards boys soccer team clinched the Skyland Conference Valley Division championship Tuesday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over Delaware Valley.

Will Luik's first-half goal with an assist from Alejandro Woelper gave Bernards (12-1) the lead. Goalie Elliot Dietrich preserved the shutout by making 15 saves.

Delaware Valley (13-3) outshot the Mountaineers, 15-10. It was Bernards' second victory over Delaware Valley this season, both by 1-0 scores. It was also Bernards'  third consecutive shutout.

The Mountaineers have another title they're still playing for. Bernards, seeded fourth, will host fifth-seeded Bridgewater-Raritan in the quarterfinal round of the Somerset County Tournament Saturday at 2 p.m.
