WATCHUNG, NJ -- The Bernards girls soccer team continues to put forth a strong defensive effort even in the games the Mountaineers don't win.

Mt. St. Mary defeated Bernards, 2-1, on Tuesday. The game was tied, 1-1, at halftime before Mt. St. Mary scored the game-winner in the second half.

Lauren Bogdan scored the goal for Bernards (4-7-2) with an assist from Sydney Incarnato. Alex Weinberg got the start in goal and came through with nine saves for Bernards.

The Mountaineers have allowed just six goals in their last five games. Bernards has posted five shutouts this fall.
