BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- Five players from the Group 2 state champion Bernards boys soccer team have been selected to the 2019 Skyland Conference All-Valley Division team as chosen by conference coaches. Four other Mountaineers were chosen for the second team.

Sophomore back Sean Doran, senior forward Nelson Ferreira, junior back Miguel Ortiz, junior midfielder Hernan Goodoy-Vera and junior goalie Elliot Dietrich all were named to the first team.

Freshman back Greg Ferreira, junior back Jack Warlick, sophomore forward Alejandro Woelper and junior back Johss Villasboa of Bernards were selected on the Valley Division's second team.

On Thursday, Nov. 21, the entire Bernards team was given a ride on fire trucks from all the Somerset Hills communities in honor of the school's fifth state championship in boys soccer. Bernards defeated Delran, 2-0, in the state final Nov. 17.

The Bernardsville Borough Council will be presenting each member of the team with a proclamation at its next meeting on Monday, Dec. 9.
