BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ -- The Bernards boys' and girls' swim teams both remained undefeated this season with victories over Voorhees on Tuesday.

The girls swim team defeated Voorhees, 100-54. The boys team was a 94-56 winner. Both Mountaineer swim squads are 6-0.

For the girls, Sami Bender led the way with  two individual wins and swam the opening leg on the first-place medley relay with Grace Korey, Maddie Kiel and Marion Doerr. On the boys side, Joe Kiel won the 100 fly and also swam on the two first-place relay teams, as the boys won seven events with eight different swimmers topping the podium.

The girls won every event except the 200 free relay, with 10 different girls securing a gold medal. Bender led the way with two individual wins (50 free and 100 back) and also swam the opening leg on the first place medley relay along with Korey, Kiel and Doerr.  Other individual winners were Clare Johnson (200 free), Izzy Piccone (IM), Kiel (100 fly), Tara Hartnett (100 free), and Korey (100 breast). Korey lowered her No. 8 all-time BHS swim in the 100 breast with a 1:12.75 PR. Piccone teamed up with Nina Marquard, Keaton Haughan and Meghan Lukacsko to touch first in the 500 free relay.  The girls swept three events as Kiel, Korey and Olivia Seker went 1-2-3 in the fly as did Hartnett, Johnson and Doerr in the 100 free.  They also took the top two places in the 400 free relay as the silver medal went to Hartnett Katie Riegler, Maddy Mehmel and Gianna Lorenzo.

Joining Kiel on the boys' victorious 200 free relay were Sean Robinson, Matt Sardis and Vincent Falivene, and for the 400 free relay win he teamed up with Matt Snyder, Matt Giunta and Alex Ruffer.  Adding individual wins were Robinson (200 free), Snyder (100 fly) and Ruffer (100 back).  Snyder, Ryan Schuller and Everett Bailey swam to a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 fly.
