SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health Wednesday reported 23,023 positive tests for the COVID-19 virus, an increase of 64 cases overnight and 711 COVID-19 deaths since March 8, 2020.

The New Jersey Department of Health Wednesday reported 865,733 total cases since last year, with 2,922 new cases overnight; there have been 22,660 COVID-19-related deaths in New Jersey, an increase of 46 overnight.

A total of 2,589,609 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered in New Jersey.

There have been 13,096,152 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.

Somerville has had a total of 1,053 COVID-19 cases since March 2020, with a total of 17 COVID-19 related deaths.

The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is 143,888,979 including 3,062,680 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention Wednesday morning, with 32,545,506 cases in the United States and 582,599 deaths.

The SCDOH confirmed the deaths of 207 Franklin Township residents; 94 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 103 in Bridgewater; 47 in Bernards Township; 51 in North Plainfield; 35 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 22 in Raritan; 23 in Bound Brook; 22 in Warren; 21 in Manville; 17 in Somerville; 21 in Montgomery; 10 in Branchburg; 5 in Bedminster; 5 in Bernardsville; 4 in South Bound Brook; 4 in Peapack-Gladstone; 1 in Rocky Hill and 1 in Far Hills.
