BRIDGEWATER – Buddy Boshers, the Somerset Patriots top relief pitcher during the 2015 season, has been signed by the Major League Minnesota Twins and invited to the team’s spring training.

Boshers was the 2015 Atlantic League Relief Pitcher of the Year, finishing with a 1.00 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 54 innings pitched over 52 games.

“We are very happy for Buddy and this opportunity to make it back to the majors. He had a tremendous year for us and was an integral part in our bullpen’s success in late game situations,” said Brett Jodie, Somerset Patriots manager “He put in the time and effort to improve everyday and showed he can compete at the high level expected in the Atlantic League. He’s a perfect example of showing how that can translate to opportunities with major league teams. We wish him the best of luck with the Twins.”
