SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Knights of Columbus Somerville Council #1432 and the Somerville Ancient Order of the Hibernians are hoping to fill Thanksgiving baskets with donated turkeys and all the trimmings to distribute to families in need throughout Somerset County.

Donations can be dropped off at Mannion’s Irish Pub and Restaurant, 150 West Main St. through Sunday, Nov. 24th.

In addition to frozen turkeys, the baskets are to be filled with canned vegetables, sweet potatoes, potatoes, boxes of stuffing, gravy, pasta and sauce, canned fruits, cookies and jello.

Financial donations are also accepted.

Last year, the Knights and Hibernians dropped off 100 baskets of food to grateful families.

The baskets are distributed through several organizations – Agape House, Franklin and Somerset County Food Banks, Visions and Pathways, Hunterdon Youth Services, Center for Great Expectations, Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen and the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program.
